About Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda is a twin-island nation lying in the heart of the Caribbean, between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It is an independent Commonwealth country widely known for its 365 white sandy beaches, rain forest and resorts.

Antigua is also known for its 18th century historical site Nelson’s Dockyard and yachting hub, English Harbour.

 

The capital of Antigua is St. John’s and the population is just over 90,000. Antigua & Barbuda is one of the Caribbean’s prosperous nation as it benefits from the tourism industry and offshore financial services.The climate in Antigua and Barbuda is tropical, hot and humid all year round with rainy season from June to November.

Antigua’s airport namely V.C. Bird International Airport has direct flights from London, Newark, New York, Miami, and Toronto. The official language spoken is English with and the majority being Christians
